CILEx says: "CILEx provides education, training and the development of skills for Chartered Legal Executives, CILEx Practitioners and other members of CILEx, as well as those who wish to become more proficient and knowledgeable in the law.
CILEx has around 20,000 members who are either trainee or qualified Chartered Legal Executive lawyers (7,500 are Fellows and so fully qualified lawyers). Over 92,500 people have chosen CILEx as their route to become a lawyer, and on average, 75% of our members are women, and around 13% of all our members are black or of an ethnic minority (compared to 7.9% for the UK population as a whole).
As well as being an awarding body for qualifications for trainee lawyers, CILEx also works in partnership with City & Guilds, the UK’s largest awarding body. In conjunction with City & Guilds, CILEx offers a range of legal studies and legal secretary qualifications which are available in over 100 centres in the UK and overseas."
